Who we are
My Background
I hold a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, graduating in 2020, and since then I’ve built my career working within NHS Capital across a range of Trusts and complex project environments. I’ve delivered and supported schemes at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust (GESH), Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington Hospital and the Francis Crick Institute. This experience has exposed me to the full reality of healthcare capital projects, from fast-paced refurbishments and infrastructure upgrades to fire safety remediation, clinical interface challenges and large-scale redevelopment pressures.
What have I noticed?
Over several years in NHS capital teams, I’ve seen how stretched these environments can be. Senior leaders are pulled between governance demands and operational pressures, while project teams often face unclear pathways, fragmented information and constant coordination challenges. I learned that the real barriers to delivery are rarely technical; they are cultural, strategic and rooted in how people communicate and work together.
I started Tom Loch Consultancy to offer something different. I take a listening-first approach, understanding the unique pressures, personalities and priorities within each organisation before offering any recommendation.
My goal is to bring clarity to complex environments, strengthen alignment between leadership and project teams, and provide practical, tailored support that helps organisations deliver projects with confidence and purpose. This consultancy exists because I’ve lived the reality of NHS capital, and I know how much value the right kind of support can bring.
